Meet the Holba’s

You can’t know Colin if you don’t first meet his better half: Lauren. As the saying goes, “You out-kicked your coverage, bro.” In this instance, Colin made all three motions at once: he snapped the ball, received the leather, and 100% out-kicked his coverage.

Lauren Holba is a nurse in Louisville and mother to their newborn son, Roman.

Holba, party of three, is just at the beginning of their journey together. Football or no football, you’d do well to have them at your next event.

Bio

Colin Holba is currently in his 5th year in the NFL and speaking around the country.

He was drafted in the 6th round (pick 213) in 2017 by the Pittsburgh Steelers. A journeyman, he has been all over the country—playing for (in order) the Steelers, Jacksonville Jaguars, San Francisco 49ers, New York Giants and the Los Angeles Rams.

On his road to the NFL, Colin went to the University of Louisville, where his freshman year he served as a baseball equipment manager for the 2013 Cardinals Baseball team who would go on to play in the College World Series. After walking on to the football team in late spring of 2013, Colin became a 3-year letter winner—where he earned a scholarship for his final two seasons.

Colin is the author of the book, LEAP! His story is about not only himself, but a call to action, for all of us, to grow in our faith to a point where we trust God to take the reins of our life. Colin experienced firsthand going from a baseball manager to NFL draft pick, the impact God can have when you let Him have control.

Using a the platform he has been given, Colin enjoys speaking and sharing that our purpose, no matter where we are in life, is to love and serve the people around us. Creating a culture of servant leadership, and stewarding the resources we have to advance the kingdom that is greater than our own.
